About Me
Ciao, I’m Daiana Antoanela Pirvu, but most of my students call me Teacher Daya.
I was born in Romania and have spent most of my life in Umbria, Italy’s green heart — a region famous for Europe’s tallest waterfall and the sweetest pampepato!
No two students learn the same way. That’s why my lessons are dynamic and adaptable — mixing grammar, conversation, slang, vocabulary, and culture. My approach is colourful, joyful, and practical, keeping learners engaged and motivated without the boredom of memorisation-heavy methods.
I specialise in teaching both children and adults, from complete beginners to advanced learners. I also welcome students with special needs and learning differences, because I believe every person can learn a language — we need to find the right approach for each individual.
When I’m not teaching, I love travelling and documenting my journeys. I’ve published books on Amazon and Kindle, and I collect little treasures from my trips — postcards, stones, leaves, even shop cards. I also enjoy cooking (though I prefer to eat together rather than force you to eat my experiments! 😉), and I relax through crochet and other creative projects.
I’m the kind of teacher who may be a bit clumsy, but always shows up on time with a smile — ready to help, encourage, and even grab a pizza or an aperitivo with you in Rome.
