What Will You Learn?

• Younger learners sing along with simple colinde while coloring and decorating paper trees. Older children play holiday bingo, write short wish lists, and learn to say what gifts they would like. Teens explore regional customs, read short cultural texts about winter foods (like cozonac and sarmale), and discuss how Romanians celebrate from Christmas through Epiphany.
• Each session combines listening, speaking, and writing practice with games, crafts, and guided conversations. We finish with a review activity or short presentation so students can use their new vocabulary confidently in a fun, low-pressure setting.
• → 👶 4–6 y/o: Sing simple Romanian carols, learn words like brad, moș, and cadou, and color a Christmas tree while repeating vocabulary aloud.
• → 🦊 7–11 y/o: Discover Moș Crăciun and New Year’s traditions like Plugușorul, play vocabulary bingo, and write a short wish list in Romanian.
• → 🦉 12–15 y/o: Read about Romanian winter holidays, write and decorate a holiday greeting card, and talk about favorite winter dishes.
• → 🐺 16–18 y/o: Discuss regional customs and New Year’s traditions, write a festive invitation email, and share resolutions for the year ahead in Romanian.
